Pu Yung-tsai, a good-natured man stuck in an unhappy relationship, discovers a mysterious old trunk. Inside is the spirit of Wei Hsiao-tieh, a kind-hearted ghost woman who had been trapped for decades. He frees her, and she returns to the human world, grateful and curious about modern life.
