Ray Reardon, played by James Spader, is a charming architect who seems to have it all. After meeting a beautiful woman named Linda (played by Mädchen Amick), they quickly fall in love and get married. However, strange and unsettling events begin to happen after their marriage, making Ray question Linda’s true intentions. As the story unfolds, secrets and deception come to light, leading to a tense and suspenseful climax where nothing is as it seems.
