In this sequel to Prison on Fire (1987), Chung Tin-ching (Chow Yun-Fat) is sent to another prison after escaping to see his son. This time, he’s in a more brutal facility in Mainland China, where he faces new enemies, including sadistic guards and vicious inmates.

Ching tries to keep a low profile, focused on reuniting with his son, but the harsh prison environment and a corrupt system push him into another series of conflicts. Despite the odds, his resilience, wit, and loyalty earn him the respect of fellow inmates and pose a challenge to the oppressive regime.
