Nick O’Bannon has a terrifying premonition of a deadly accident at a car race at the McKinley Speedway, where a crash causes chaos and mass death. He panics and convinces his friends — Lori, Hunt, and Janet — to leave the stadium, narrowly escaping the disaster when it actually happens moments later.

However, as in previous Final Destination films, death comes back for them one by one, in the exact order they were supposed to die. Nick and Lori desperately try to understand the pattern and stop it, but as the deaths grow more brutal and elaborate, they realize fate is not so easily cheated.
