The plot follows Bridget Gregory (Linda Fiorentino), a cunning and manipulative femme fatale who steals drug money from her husband Clay (Bill Pullman) and flees to a small town in upstate New York. There, she seduces local man Mike Swale (Peter Berg), pulling him into her schemes. As the story unfolds, it becomes clear Bridget will use and betray anyone to get what she wants, with no remorse.
