The story begins in the peaceful land of the Shire, where Frodo Baggins inherits a powerful artifact: the One Ring, created by the Dark Lord Sauron to control all life in Middle-earth. The wizard Gandalf discovers its true nature and urges Frodo to take it away from the Shire.

A fellowship is formed—comprising Hobbits Frodo, Sam, Merry, and Pippin, along with Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, Boromir, and Gandalf—to carry the Ring to Mount Doom in Mordor, the only place where it can be destroyed. Along the way, they face treachery, battles, and growing darkness, as Sauron’s forces pursue them.
