The story is set in a popular 1960s Hong Kong-style café called "Lucky Café". The main character, Siu Chi (played by Stephen Chow), is a charming waiter known as the "Prince Egg Tart" due to his looks and the café's signature dish.

Siu Chi is constantly pursued by women but falls for Candy (Kristy Yang), a beautiful woman with a serious illness. Meanwhile, the café is at risk of being taken over by developers. Siu Chi and his co-workers (played by Ng Man-tat and Eric Kot) try to save the café while navigating their own romantic troubles.
