The film follows Francis Li, a lazy but experienced detective, who is forced to team up with Michael Tso, an ambitious and energetic young officer. Their assignment: take down a violent drug trafficking ring.

Despite their clashing personalities and comedic mishaps, the duo gradually builds a strong partnership. Their investigation leads them into dangerous confrontations with a ruthless drug gang, culminating in a famous and over-the-top chainsaw duel.
